The founder, Jan Duma started the company by doing small renovations and home improvements upon arriving in Canada in 1989. Since the beginning Jan never hesitated to accept any odd jobs and repairs. That was the best way to learn how good work should be done, which complemented the technical and analytical skills Jan had previously developed through his Master’s in Mechanical Wood Engineering. Thanks to Jan’s dedication and passion, Dumas gained a solid reputation for excellence in residential construction in the Greater Toronto Area.
